WSL Closing the Surf Ranch: Rumor and Counter-Rumor
Chas Smith, the heart of Beach Grit, bubbled up a rumor claiming that the WSL was going to close the Surf Ranch in 2019, close the Solana Beach KSWC offices and take the Freshwater Pro off the Tour. Less than 5 hours later, the story developed further and Chas followed up with another article citing a WSL spokesperson who claimed the rumors were false. “The Surf Ranch Lemoore facility continues to invest in new staff and experiences and the WSL is excited about the venue’s potential in 2020 and beyond" said the WSL spokesperson.
