Plans Submitted for NLand Conversion to Kelly Slater Wave Company Tech

The engineering firm Carlson Brigance & Doering Inc. submitted plans to the city of Austin proposing the replacement of NLand Surf Park with a new wave pool based on Kelly Slater Wave Company (KSWC) technology.

This is a significant step forward for the WSL (who owns KSWC) since they purchased NLand from Doug Coors in December of 2018.

The Development Services Department in Austin still needs to review and approve the plan. Meanwhile, we’re wondering if the rebuilt will result in the first KWSC-powered wave pool that throws waves off both sides of a central track. Stay tuned…
