WaveLake

WaveLake

An AllWaves installation in Belgium

Average Reviews

Description

WaveLake is a wave pool planned for the Knokke-Heist area of Belgium that will use AllWaves wave pool technology to produce thousands of rides per hour, once it’s operational.

The wave pool will be the second AllWaves installation in the area (the first being the R&D pool that AllWaves is building to prove their innovative technology works at full scale).

Frank Vanleenhove, owner of Lakeside Paradise in Knokke-Heist and decorated board-sport enthusiast, is leading the WaveLake initiative. He’s partnered closely with the team at AllWaves to prove and commercialize the AllWaves tech.

Details about the size of the wave pool or the waves it will produce are not available yet, but according to Vanleenhove, the WaveLake pool will be bigger than the 100m x 100m R&D pool.

Lakeside Paradise already offers a wakeboard park, skate park and other water activities based on the nearby North Sea.

The city council agreed to the project so the project continues forward. In the meantime, check out the scaled down video of AllWaves tech in action below.
