Alaïa Bay Starts Construction on Wave Pool in Switzerland

Alaïa Bay, a Wavegarden Cove wave pool in Switzerland, started construction on November 19th and plans to open in 2021.

Alaïa Bay will compliment the business already run by Alaïa SA, who operates a boardsports complex as well. When the wave pool is complete, it possible to snowboard, ski, skateboard and surf all in the same day in Switzerland.

The wave pool will create waves suitable for all levels of surfing. The Alaïa Bay team hopes to attract a healthy percentage of the 40,000 Swiss surfer plus other board sports enthusiasts from other parts of Europe.
